Modern 3D building capture technology helps overcome this by creating an interactive digital record that can be revisited long after the inspection has taken place.
While there are several platforms in the market, we use (and rate) Matterport for its ability to create an accurate, interactive ‘digital twin’ that captures both a property's layout and condition.
Unlike traditional photographs, a digital twin allows users to virtually walk through a property, understand how spaces connect, review specific building elements in context and revisit the site long after the original inspection has taken place. Accessible from desktop and mobile devices, these models provide a richer, more enduring record than photographs alone.

However today, we can achieve the same objective in a fraction of the time, while capturing a far more comprehensive visual record.
Using drone technology, our trained and licensed building surveyors safely collect high-resolution imagery and video from virtually any angle. In a single flight, we can capture detailed information about roof conditions, drainage systems, facade defects and other building elements that may be difficult or costly to inspect using conventional methods.
